The Examination Section, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has published the detailed notification for the Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5) 2026. Note: Total 57 distinct post groups are covered under the CRE-5 structural blueprint. Candidates applying for multiple groups must file separate applications and pay separate fees for each group.
CRE-5 CBT Examination Pattern & Selection Process
- Total Questions & Marks: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) accounting for a total of 400 marks.
- Section Splitting: General Knowledge, Aptitude & Computer section holds 20 MCQs; Core Domain Specific syllabus holds 80 MCQs.
- Negative Evaluation Scheme: Deductive penalty of -1 mark will be implemented for every wrong answer attempted.
- Time Lock Feature: 90 Minutes absolute exam duration. The paper contains 5 sequential time-locked blocks of 18 minutes each.
- Stage II Skill Test: Typing tests, shorthand assessments, or PET/PST criteria will be applicable to specific post variants (LDC, Steno, Security).
