📌 Short Overview

The Indian Army has invited online applications from eligible unmarried male Engineering Graduates for the 145th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-145) commencing in July 2027 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, for a Permanent Commission. A total of 30 vacancies are notified across Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and Misc Engineering streams. Interested candidates can apply online at the official portal from 30 September 2026 to 29 October 2026.

Eligibility & Educational Qualification Age Limit (as on 01/07/2027)
• Gender / Status: Unmarried Male Candidates only.
• Qualification: BE / B.Tech or M.Sc Computer Science in relevant notified engineering stream from a recognized university.
• Appearing Candidates: Final year students can apply, provided they pass and submit proof of degree by 01/07/2027.
• Foreign engineering degree holders are not eligible. 		• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 27 Years
• Candidate must be born between 01/07/2000 and 30/06/2007 (both dates inclusive).

Minimum Physical Standards (Pre-Commissioning Training)
• 2.4 Km Run: 10 Minutes 30 Seconds • Push Ups: 40 Repetitions
• Pull Ups: 06 Repetitions • Sit Ups: 30 Repetitions
• Squats: 2 Sets of 30 Repetitions • Lunges: 2 Sets of 10 Repetitions
• Swimming: Should know Fundamentals of Swimming
Selection Process & Training Details
  1. Shortlisting of Applications: Cut-off percentage fixed stream-wise on cumulative marks up to pre-final semester/year.
  2. SSB Interview: Stage-1 (Screening) & Stage-2 (Psychology, GTO, Interview) held at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar (5 Days).
  3. Medical Examination: Recommended candidates undergo Special Medical Board (SMB).
  4. Merit List & Joining: Stream-wise merit list based solely on SSB Interview marks.
  5. Pre-Commission Training: 12 months at IMA Dehradun. Fixed stipend of ₹56,100/- pm during training. Granted Commission as Lieutenant upon successful completion.

⚠️ Important Note Before Applying

  • Stream Mismatch: Any mismatch between the engineering stream name on your degree/marksheet and the online application will result in immediate cancellation.
  • Name Variation: Personal particulars (Candidate & Parents' names) must match the Matriculation certificate. Submit an affidavit for minor variations.
  • Original Documents at SSB: Original Degree/Provisional Degree and marksheets of all semesters are compulsory at SSB center.
  • Printout Rule: Take 2 printed copies of the application with Roll Number 30 minutes after online portal closes.
