Post Wise Educational Qualification Age Limit (as on 27/10/2026)
1. Head Constable (Education & Stress Counsellor):
• Degree from a recognized University with Psychology as a subject OR
• Degree from a recognized University with Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent.

2. Head Constable (Motor Mechanic):
• 10+2 Pass from a recognized Board/Institution.
• Certificate in Motor Mechanic from ITI with 3 years practical experience in a reputed workshop OR 3-year Diploma in Automobile Engineering. 		Education & Stress Counsellor:
• Age Limit: 20 - 25 Years

Motor Mechanic:
• Age Limit: 18 - 25 Years

Age Relaxation extra as per ITBP Head Constable Recruitment Rules 2026 (SC/ST: 5 Yrs, OBC: 3 Yrs, Ex-Servicemen as per rules).

Physical Standards (PST) & Efficiency Test (PET)
1. Physical Standards Test (PST):
  • Male Height: 170 cm (General/OBC/SC); 162.5 cm (ST/Hilly Areas).
  • Female Height: 157 cm (General/OBC/SC); 150 cm (ST/Hilly Areas).
  • Male Chest: 80-85 cm (5 cm expansion mandatory).
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - Qualifying in Nature:
  • Male Candidates: 1.6 Km Race in 7 Min 30 Sec | 11 Feet Long Jump (3 Chances) | 3.5 Feet High Jump (3 Chances).
  • Female Candidates: 800 Meter Race in 4 Min 45 Sec | 9 Feet Long Jump (3 Chances) | 3 Feet High Jump (3 Chances).
Selection Process & Written Examination Pattern
