🎓 Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized Board/University. Candidates must have studied Hindi or Punjabi as a subject at Matriculation (10th) level.
- Driving License: Must possess a valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) Driving License. (Higher category license will not be given extra preference).
- Driving Experience: Minimum 2 years car driving experience required.
- Clean Driving Record: Candidate must not have any criminal case or conviction related to negligent driving.
- Age Limit (as on 18/09/2026): Minimum Age: 18 Years | Maximum Age: 35 Years. (For Ex-Servicemen, upper age limit relaxation = Period of defense service + 3 years).

⚙️ Selection Process & Evaluation
- Shortlisting (If applicable): If the number of applications is high, shortlisting criteria may be adopted by the High Court.
- Practical Test-cum-Interview: Driving skill test and interview to evaluate driving efficiency and rule awareness. Final merit list will be prepared based on performance in this test.
- Trial Period: Selected candidates will initially be placed on a fixed Trial Period and paid honorarium as per Daily Wager rates fixed by the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh. Permanent appointment will be given after successful trial completion.
