The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially issued the Phase II Mains Admit Card and Phase I Prelims Score Card / Marks for the Probationary Officers (PO) Recruitment 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Prelims exam held on 01–02 August 2026 and qualified can now download their Mains Admit Card starting from 02 September 2026. A total of 1,500 Probationary Officer vacancies (1,446 Regular & 54 Backlog) are being filled through this competitive recruitment drive across India.

Eligibility Details Age Limit (As on 01/04/2026)

• Qualification: Passed or Appearing Bachelor’s Degree in Any Stream from any Recognized University in India.

• Candidates in their final year/semester of graduation are also eligible, subject to proof of passing the exam as specified in the official SBI notification.
  • Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years
  • Age relaxation extra as per State Bank of India (SBI) PO Recruitment Rules 2026 (SC/ST: 5 yrs, OBC: 3 yrs, PwD: 10–15 yrs).

SBI PO Selection Process & Exam Overview

The selection process for State Bank of India Probationary Officers consists of three structured phases:

  1. Phase I (Preliminary Examination): Objective Test for 100 Marks (English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability). Qualified candidates move to Mains.
  2. Phase II (Main Examination): Objective Test (200 Marks) + Descriptive Test (50 Marks) testing Reasoning, Data Analysis, General/Banking Awareness, and English Writing.
  3. Phase III (Psychometric Test, Interview & Group Exercises): Psychometric evaluation followed by Group Exercises (20 Marks) and Personal Interview (30 Marks). Final merit list is prepared based on Mains and Phase III scores.
