  • Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor Degree in Any Stream with minimum 60% Marks in Mathematics at 10+2 Level OR Bachelor Degree with Statistics as one of the subjects.
  • Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor Degree in Any Subject with Statistics as one of the degree subjects.
  • Research Assistant (NHRC): Bachelor Degree in Any Stream from a Recognized University in India.
  • All Other Posts: Bachelor Degree in Any Stream from a Recognized University in India.
  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 27 - 32 Years (Post Wise)
  • Age Relaxation: Extra relaxation applicable as per official SSC CGL 2026 Recruitment Rules (OBC: 3 Years, SC/ST: 5 Years, PwD: 10 Years).

📝 Exam Pattern & Selection Process 2026

Selection Stages:

  1. Tier-I Examination: Computer Based Examination (Qualifying in Nature).
  2. Tier-II Examination: Objective Type CBT Exam (Paper 1 Compulsory for all posts, Paper 2 for JSO).
  3. Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) & Computer Proficiency Module: Conducted during Tier-II (Qualifying).
  4. Document Verification (DV): Conducted by User Departments after final merit list.
  5. Physical Standards / Physical Test (PET/PST): Only for specific posts like Inspector (Central Excise/Preventive Officer/Examiner), Sub-Inspector (CBI, NIA, NCB, CBN).

  • OTR Mandatory: SSC has introduced One Time Registration on its official website (ssc.gov.in). Old registration numbers are no longer valid.
  • Live Photo Upload: SSC uses live photo capture via webcam or the official SSC Mobile App during application. Ensure plain/light background and clear frontal view.
  • Exam City Intimation: Exam City status reveals the exam city and date of examination. Detailed admit cards with exact test venue will be released 3-4 days prior to your exam date.
  • Original ID Card: Candidates must carry an original photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport) having the exact same date of birth as printed on the admit card.
